Zorro (aka Phil Macve) raids St Georges Hill

Fancy a trip to St Georges Hill Philip, I’m going there on a Surrey Chambers of Commerce Golf Day?

482

Silly question really, so on Tuesday we arrive to bright sunshine and warm weather with 50 other golfers. Playing the Blue and Green course Philip smacks one down the middle on the first. “Good shot P” I said. “Had a little win at the weekend”, he then admits. Despite a disappointing 6 at the first for one point he then demolishes the course, briefly taking the longest drive and coming in with an outstanding  41 points. He left his trick shot to the 17th – the par 3 nearest the pin. The maker was sitting 2 feet from the pin. Philip smashes his drive into the trees dead and buried. Well for anyone but Zorro, as the ball pings from tree to tree it reappears on the green rolling 2 feet 1 inch from the pin- ah well only a birdie.

The prize giving starts 3rd 35 points, second 36 points …. Zorro walks off beating the competition by 5. Does anyone like champagne, Bridgestone balls …?
