Match six in our Surrey Hills adventures saw us travel the long and grueling distance to Woldingham on Saturday! !

Woldingham’s 4th
The day started with a good English breakfast and a mountain of toast, that not even Wayne and Tom could finish. Maybe less toast and a few more tea bags was in order 🙂
Fortunately the sun was shining and the course had drained well from the lashing of rain the previous night, although the wind was up and made for some interesting holes.
As usual all the games were played in great spirit and indeed we started well with a 4up win by our first pairing, however it seems Woldingham were hurt by they previous defeat at Reigate and bounced back to record victories in the next 4 matches.
I believe there was a mixture of some good and some poor golf played by both teams in the last four matches, and they were in fact closer then the scored might suggest.
Overall we lost by 7 points, which when playing away from home is not too bad a result (last year we lost there by 6 points ).
So where does this leave us ? Currently bottom of the table on points difference. However with our last two games being played at home if we win and win big and other results go our way, we can certainly climb the table and could still actually win the league 🙂
So all to play for in the last games, home against Farleigh on the 9th and Woldingham on the 29th 🙂
