Found this old pic of CC… seemed appropriate!
Three Swashbucklers out did themselves in the good weather this weekend. A ‘bandit’ would be unfair… possibly… as there was some serious golf played and some scarily good scores returned to tuck way some ca$$h.
Saturday saw Mr Graham Loveless put his best ever round together I believe. Even started with a blob before something silly like 17 points in the next 6 holes I think Jaggsy said! Well played G-Love.
He was in danger of doing it again on Sunday, but honours on the day went to Jim whose gross74 saw him walk away with a few pennies and another ‘best ever’ round. Just 7 in the Swindle so it was unofficial. Great golf, Jackson’s putting lessons really pulling things together, Jim couldn’t miss from 12 feet it seems. Well played.
Monday saw a decent number out for Bank Holiday Swindle. 16 in the bet and following a putting lesson last week again with Jackson, young Harry produced his best ever round, a gross 69. 6 birdies, 3 bogeys. A cracking round, definitely worth keeping that card safe, worth framing even!
I’d also add another note to what I’d say was certainly the best Swindle shot of the weekend… if not for quite a while.
Old Northern-Petal-Yule was high up on the right bank on the 18th, not only in the rough… but way way up barely a couple feet from the deep stuff.
18th pin tight back-left green, our hero had in front of him the big rightside fairway tree, the lake and barely a couple yards to land the ball.
Up he steps, our Swindle match all square and munches a 3hybrid to about 5feet then sinks the putt to win the hole.
Certainly deserves a separate comment that Scottie… very very impressive (you b*gger).
We just won’t mention the minor tizzy during the round
🙂

Well played all. Especially Harry, fabulous golf mate, you’ll able to talk the old man through a few things soon
