Surrey Mirror: “Outcry begins Tandridge Local Plan”

3 February, 2016 by Hew Leave a Comment

The club sent out a letter to members a couple of weeks ago in response to concerns over the ‘potential’ redevelopment of areas on and around Chaldon.

Had notification of an article published today in the Surrey Mirror that may be of interest. (Opens in a new tab)  It’s quite dramatic opening with ‘panic’ and ‘outcry’ in the article, but does mention a public meeting on Saturday, February 6 at 2.30pm at Chaldon Village Hall in Rook Hall.

PANIC is breaking out as the Tandridge Local Plan outlines areas which may be ripe for redevelopment, it is claimed.

An outcry has begun in several quarters over the feared threat of hundreds of new homes swamping the district – even though any decisions are at least 18 months away.

This is just for your interest – please direct any questions to Simon or the Club.
