Surrey Hills 2014 Result – Surrey National secure 2nd place

Team,

A great result in our final match against Surrey Downs, winning by 8 points (49 vs 41) and cementing second place in this years League. Yes, unfortunately Farleigh were too strong and will retain the trophy (or whatever they win). However speaking to Tom at the weekend we have a plan already for next year. We just need a couple of volunteers, camouflage outfits and some very loud shot guns !

Joking apart well done all, a sterling performance all round. Which, if we look at the results throughout the season, came down to only two matches, so actually a lot closer then it would appear.

2014 Final Table

We now look forward to the end of season Texas Scramble competition at Farleigh on the 24th October. This is where all teams merge into 5 balls and play for pride and prizes. Not mentioning the dinner and a beers afterwards.

There will be 15 teams partaking, consisting of players from each club. However Woldingham are struggling to fill all their places, so we can take as many as we like. So please let me know (if you haven’t already, 17 have) if you would like to play.

And finally I’ve enjoyed playing with you all and other teams so much, I’ve Volunteered to do it again next year 🙂 so keep up your sublime golf so we can stand together again in battle next season …

Well done and see you all on the 24th.
