Snip snip! Handicaps trimmed from the Stableford (& get well Tee)

6 July, 2014 by Hew Leave a Comment

A weekend of unsettled weather – some extended drizzle and downpours framing some muggy, overcast weather topped with warm bright sunshine.    Ah summertime.

Sunday at the club with the Swindle. Jerry with Guinness, Denzil about to put the world to right, Graham about to to fall asleeeeep, Bryan Hogben and Al G trying to escape..  Here, Denzil is presenting one of the lost golf balls he found following other groups.  One at least proved to be Simon’s on 17th which may have meant he could have sneaked the win.

Comp weekend with a Swindle on Saturday.

Mattie “The Hoover” Jaggsy was on top form Saturday taking nearly everything from the Swindle.  Dennis, I have your £13 somewhere, probably in Jezzz’s belly after putting some Guinness his way.

Stevie Mac took Saturdays comp with 40 points, with Tony not far behind in 3rd getting cut with 38points, and our own Mr BDJ Clements featuring in the top10 too.  Stevie also tried to match the number of points with the number of units he drank at the club and in the evening.  Last seen at about 11.45pm in deepest  darkest Wallington…. minus the ability to speak.

Sunils awesome round of 76, complete with a mahoosive putt on the 18th, pipped our own Simon Bailey  on countback for Sunday’s winner.  Simon played a blinder, cracking score but superb round Sunil!

In all, Simon B, James M, Brian C, Waynetta all drop a shot on their club handicaps.  Good scoring all round on a soft course open to some decent play.

Few more *cough* copped the odd plus 0.1 or 0.2 but we wont linger on that.

And most importantly… GET WELL TEE!!!

Denzil, you are charged with letting Tee know that we all hope she makes a speedy recovery ASAP and is back with us soon with her vim and enthusiaism as soon as possible.
