Good weather this weekend meant a very large Swindle on Saturday. More the merrier for Mr Lee Snashers as he took most of the loot with 35pts. Cha ching and Congratulations.
Sunday saw a good heap of Swashbucklers out playing in the Stableford comp, enjoying the continuing good Spring weather. One of the warmest place in Europe I was hearing at 23odd degrees.
Scottie, James Murtagh and myself were out at 7.44 and James and I had a front row seat for Scottie’s cracking golf. Barely missed a shot did our Northern Petal – a 25footer from across the 3rd green set up a great round. 3 birdies, one bogey and a gross 70 was recorded for 42pts, pipping Gerald Hares by one. Well played.
The evening saw most of us looking forward to settling down in front of the Masters hoping for a great contest between Rosey and Sergio.
What a fantastic watch – made for some ropey early Monday mornings I’m sure. Sergio bought it back on the 13th with an up and down for par after an errant drive. and that seemed to spur him on yet Justin Rose matched him shot for shot.
Winning on the first extra hole, I was very chuffed for him (helped by having a few pennies on him too).
