Thank you to all those who came along for my Birthday golf, it was a great day despite the cold and the speed of play, we all made it round in the light in the end.
It turned out to be the busiest day of the year at the club and the coldest as Boney pointed out. 22 of us played, rainbow tees for the men and a cock up on the handicapping for the ladies…my bad, sorry Graham and whoever should have finished third, at least the money stayed in the family Graham.
Strangely though despite the ladies getting twice the shots they should have had, I manage to win with 38 points, didn’t think I would have done but you never know with our lot.
A few beers in the clubhouse afterwards to accompany the prize giving, thank you to Jerry for organising the cards and money, v efficient as always. Then off to the Tudor Rose for the evening, great night, thank you to those who came, we were a split group for eating which in hindsight was a shame, me Matt, Mark, Simon and one other? (can’t remember) leaving at ten for a curry and more beer.
Didn’t feel great this morning and went to work. Good day and evening all round though and I now qualify officially as a senior golfer, Champions Tour here I come.
