First off, this YouTube vid is over an hour long and I certainly wouldn’t expect anyone to sit through the whole thing!
MyGolfSpy.com is a very respected independent US-based golf equipment test. They run “everything to do with golf” through an impressive amount of testing across players, handicaps and skill levels and back it up with hard numbers and charts. I appreciate that at this point most reading will go “oh numbers and stats to do with golf, forget it… its all the same when I hoick it into the trees/lake/that fella on other fairway“.
MyGolfSpy’s 2019 golf ball buyer’s guide test has been getting some big coverage online.
This link is much easier to flick through than the 1hr long YouTube vid.
And for those still reading… their big point is that golf ball-fitting is only going to get to be a bigger and bigger thing for all golfers to bear in mind.
Interesting when they said that with all their testing of woods and irons over the years (and they do a lot), they said they found a far bigger difference in ball types in this test than any comparison between equipment (i.e., 2019 driver x vs. 2019 driver y). A golf ball needs to suit your wallet , but some good stuff in this test.
