Knees up for Stevie & Alison, and the Stableford weekend

The happy couple

The happy couple

Having gotten married in Vegas last month, Steve and Alison celebrated in the UK with a nice evening do at Carshalton FC’s ‘Robin’s Nest’ on Saturday evening.

Family and a gaggle of their mates were supported by a bucket load (a bundle? a ‘trash’?) of Swashbucklers and we all had a great night.

Everyone in good form.  Graham regaled us with the story of him hitting the 10th @The Belfry.  I think he needs some encouragement to wear his lucky shamrock trousers at Surrey National though, feel free to add encouragement.

Congratulations again from us all (brave girl!)

Lee Feez had a stonker on Saturday

38pts 37pts and gross75 meant another cut down to 4.9 for Mr Feez, very well done.  Proper cat1 golfer mate.  Some good scores on Sunday as Lee could only secure 4th!  Simon Lavelle taking the overall with an excellent 41points, great scoring… with Baz Sweetman, Keith Oakley and Lee fighting out the next places on countback after all coming in with 38points. Felix came in next with a very good 37pts.

Played with Mr Feez, Phil and Jim at the Addington Sunday afternoon.  Tee boxes looking good, course in better nick helped perhaps by it being their Drive In day, complete with the Captain in crown and red robe!  Nice.  We had a good game in great Spring sunshine, and “B team” of HewNJim took it on the 18th.

Scottie burns up Sunday’s Stableford

Scottie took first place shooting a one over over gross 73 on Sunday.  I had the pleasure of playing with Scottie (and *cough* Mr Loveless)… and he certainly showed Graham and I how to putt.  Slotted one the entire length of the 6th for an excellent par, and knocked one in off the 18th green to round off a very solid 18holes.

A great round and another Order of Merit campaign begins for us all.
