Phew! What a fantastic event, an awesome venue and cracking golf between the world’s best.
Some of you may be thinking I’m referring to just any weekend at Surrey National… however – sadly no. Most definitely no!
🙂
Undoubtedly a cracking Ryder Cup that lived up to all expectations. We were all glued to it weekend I’m sure… and Alex Noren’s final putt just sealed it. Even David Ginola pretty much nailed it in the presentation.
Apart from half our Swindle in Ireland on tour, we had a few in Paris for the event – I hope we can poke Phil for a write up on his days spent over in Paris.
Anyway, a quick post thanking Wayne, Dom, Kieran and the club.
Wayne organised tee times early on Friday for a friendly roll-up to get the weekend going. Thanks Wayne and well done Jaggsy on clearing up for the win.
Sunday Ryder Cup Singles Day was the club’s big ‘friendly’ roll up comp thing, and well done to Dom and the club for setting things up. BBQ seemed to go down ok (well if you weren’t a veggie?), and good to see a busy club house. Busy day at the club with the wedding fayre yesterday too.
Congrats to Tony Vigor on the overall win with 42 pts. I nicked in for 2nd on 40pts and then Lee The Fease was in with Charlie for 3rd I think on 39pts.
Do please note that these members event don’t just happen – it’s all too easy for us all to take them for granted – so big thanks to all involved.
