Toughie. Simon playing out of the greenside bunker on 13th, across the stepped green with pin at the bottom of the slope
Dean and Graham halved Saturday’s Swindle on 34 points I heard today – impressive scoring on what was largely frozen greens. Good going both.
Sunday saw a much softer course and greens, but still a biting wind out of the weak Winter sun. With most in the Comp I believe young Peter got 39points won the juniors, and Denzil and Dave Shirley came runners up overall behind Roy Benham, and possibly splitting fivers with 36? I’m not sure who was in what.
Shot of the day probably goes to Jaggsy who ‘s tee shot on the 16th managed to clear the enclosure, the 10th fairway, past the ladies tee and hit it on the road to the driving range.
Well done to Winkle managing a 2 on the 13th with a nice putt across the green.
Around the club
Sent over by someone, no answers on a postcard please.

A Guiness “poured” at the club and a rather offensive sausage served in a breakfast. It really isnt difficult. (Though I’m more amazed by Jerry AND Stevie caught by the bar (talking not buying I might add).
