Barry scoops Saturday Swindle and goes through to Swindle Final
I took on “The Bone” in the semi-finals of the dragged out Swindle Knockout on Saturday. After halving the 3rd in double bogeys, Barry’s solid game took a hold, helped by 3 birdies on the day and a Swindle Stableford of 39 points. This took the overall prize in the Swindle and me walking a bit funny after getting a thorough pasting from Baz who smashed me 6&5.
Blow up of the day, or good handicap management, saw RichieBandit standing on the tee with a massive 38points only to blob the last two holes (but still came in with 38 after a total of 4blobs). Get cutting that handicap Bob!
The final of Barry and Jez will bring things to a close soon.
Spare a thought for Scottie…
Our Northern petal had a fantastic round grossing 2under, 38points off plus1 I think. Which meant zero prizes and a cut to plus2. Best round of the year for Scottie, awesome.
Denzil’s and Tee’s last Swindle for a while (well till the next day when Denzil played and Tee went shopping), but Saturday’s round ended in familiar style with The Housewifes favourite Mr Denzil Hope chunking his chip into the water on the 18th in front of a full patio.
Jezza and Grubbster lost to the Greenwoods on Saturday in the Summer Pairs, but came back firing with Margaret on Sunday beating the Foxes in the Mixed Pairs on Sunday.
Graham (Adams) takes Sunday!
He needed a cuddle during the week but Sunday Graham steadied the ship and took the overall prize in a busy Swindle.
Unfortunately we had a Swindler turn up late, and I think didnt get a game as we had four full 4balls. As a reminder, can everyone please ensure they are in the club at least 10-15mins before the published tee times so all the cards can be pulled. Its now agreed to be fair to any 3balls that they go out first so its important you are on time. Please call another Swindler or even the ProShop to say you are on the way if you are late.
A good size Swindle which saw some massive drives from BigJaggsy (as he’s now known), Mark hitting the ball straight of the tee (well straight-er) and our Graham winning with only 33 points.
