Christmas Swindles 2015

21 December, 2015 by Hew 1 Comment

Big Swindles at the weekend – we had 20 one day, 27(ish) the next.  Unsettled weather on both days, Saturday was better with just the wind and being overcast.  Sunday’s forecasts didnt have any rain till 3… but after starting the round in t-shirts, the heavens opened as we left the 1st tee and pretty much didn’t stop.  Really came down twice so there were a lot of soggy golfers in the club house at the end.

Rain didnt help the Sunday Christmas jumper day… most of us taking them off before they were sodden with rain.  #

Saturday saw the ‘Hangovers’ have a big social day… some cracking jumpers on display too (complete with elf bells).

Denzil and Tee were there on Sunday – good to see them both – and Denzil nearly took the overall… he certainly won on the chatting stakes.  Jaggsy and Backdoor halved Saturday’s overall with 31, 32 took Sunday’s big Swindle split between two again, Young Peter and someone else.  (Sorry I didnt see the score sheet).

Bob was up at the club on Saturday and had Mick’s new shoes on display.

Lots of golf planned over Christmas period, make sure you turn up in good time to check and organise numbers.
