Housewife’s favourite, Mr Philip Schofield clearly loves some Christmas knitware. Bless ‘im
Next Sunday is Christmas jumper day so please drag them out of the cupboard.
Please bring a couple of extra quid to stick in the charity box on the day… and bring a few more if you aren’t wearing a jumper or silly hat.
And if you’re called Mark, surname Wheddon, and continue to dismiss Christmas jumper idea and can’t be a8sed to get at least to Tesco and pay £7 odd quid for something festive… well, bring a few more.
Probably be a standard Swindle… though we may need an extra slot if we have a big turnout.
Denzil and Tee are up at the club
Our ex-pat, now Spanish residents are around on Sunday I believe … so please practice your Northern accents for Denz, get him a Guinness… and be prepared to play some awful golf for Teresa to tell you how good your shots were!
Swindle 1 and 1 over the weekend
Weather was it’s usual December grey and damp, though fairly mild (got away with just a base layer and t-shirt both days), and we avoid any heavy downfalls over the two Stableford days.
Playing in both the comp and Swindle, Boney ripped it up on Saturday winning the back9, overall and a pin… as well as the overall comp. We had 17 in the tenners so a big cha ching for Barry. Well done.
Scores were not high on Saturday in either the comp or Swindle and in the comp itself only 3 scores bettered 36. This didnt improve much on Sunday either… the soggy rough no doubt messing up scorecards… and eating up balls just nudged off the fairway.
Sunday saw a Swindle 1, 2 and 3 in the comp. Simon Christian taking another win walking away with it with 38points. Well played. Graham continued his recent form with 36 and Lee Feez turned in a cracking round of 35 with 4 birds nudging Scottie by one in best gross. Good golf.
