Glorious day in the West Country on Christmas Day (and then pee’d down on Boxing Day).
I got lucky and managed to nip out before sunrise on Christmas Day and play my old course on Dartmoor. Took a couple of pictures – the members club is still looking great in the depth of winter… a members course they keep the green areas in great nick and do the little things very well, tee’s paths, steps etc. Not easy on Dartmoor turf and wandering ponies and sheep who graze on the moor. Not a particularly long course, but some very very hard par fours especially off the back tees and usually with a stiff wind about. Still, there is always the fantastic Dartmoor vista to take in from every hole helps the odd lost ball and wayward drive into the gorse.

Looking down the short par4 9th with the sun barely up – a rescue/9iron in normal conditions, driver/rescue(+wedge) when wind against.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas Day. I know a few stalwarts were heading out to play as well… Swindle times on the frontpage (and below).
