Fairly close humid day and for once the forecast was correct. Warm and overcast but a pretty good day for golf. Greens had been cut that morning and with some lingering dew they collected some cuttings as the ball rolled but I felt were quite consistent.
Course in pretty good nick and we all turned out for this years Captain’s Cup off the blues hosted by Joe. We had a few 2balls out there which meant a few longer rounds for some but we all got round.
I enjoyed a good 3ball with Boney and Matt Strong. Though Barry may well have scored more filthy jokes than points on the day.

Post-round drinks and review. Bobbie looks a bit beaten by the day’s efforts! I hope someone bought him a pint soon
Kevin Harman took the overall win by 3 clear points returning a very impressive 43 points. I came in second with 40, just pipping Jez Clayton and young Sam Allen by one.
Of the other Swashbucklers, Felix played very well for 36points in 8th and Assif also on 36points for 10th.
Thanks to Joe (and Vice Capt Mark) for awarding the prizes.

So a good day and to top it off the lasagne I thought was very good.
