DAY ONE

The thought of a stupid o’clock flight and the dread of an Easy Jet flight to our Canarian destination of Tenerife went extremely well, and after a few hours flying and collecting our weaponry for the battles ahead and a short cab ride we reached our base Philips bordello where the original party of Philip, Simon , Matt J, Matt S, James D , and Mark stayed and the famous five were split into two apartments Hew, James M, with Alan joining Later, leaving John ( BDJ ) sharing with Jez. After a quick change we left for our first game at Golf Las Americas we had our lunches and a couple of beverages before we teed off at three o’clock it obviously suited a certain Mr James D with a winning score of 37 points with Simon and James M taking 2ND place.

DAY TWO

After an evening and early morning of celebrating James round we left bleary eyed and in the dark for our second round at Costa Golf Adeje for an eight o’clock tee the best course and lunch we later found out and once again it was James D coming in with 32 points taking pole position with Matt J and Jez 2ND place.

DAY THREE

With a twelve o’clock tee at Golf Del Sur there seemed to be more celebrations not sure weather it was Jim’s win or Alan’s arrival a little afternoon stroll to a beach bar that there were a few jaded players not that it worried Mr Philip Macve shooting what could be a lifetime best 39 points leaving Hew in second place with 38 and Jezza just in the same country 33 points.

DAY FOUR

A ten o’clock tee at Amarilla once again there are a few jaded players and the course not at its best it did not prove to be a problem for Philip another 36 points to give him another win and a place in the last group out for the final day, Hew would join him with 35 points and John in third with 33 points puts him in the second group out.

With Philip still smiling and as happy as Larry that he has had another win and he would be playing of his dream handicap 18 on the final day, he chose the spaghetti for his lunch
he said it was ok we only identify the pizza as they were round you would have to have been there to see what the other nuked stuff was as the lasagne and the cannelloni was one and the same thing just ask James M.

DAY FIVE

The final day and another early start the first tee 8 o’clock to open the final James M 88, Matt S, 86, Mark, 74, And Alan 52. Second group Simon & Matt J 94, John & Jez 93.
Leaving the final three Hew 106, James D 101, Philip 99.

With the match over beers in, it was time to check and verify the scores it was two of the back markers Alan with 35, mark with 33 and Hew & Simon in joint 3rd with 31 points on the day.

Final results, based on best 3 rounds

  • Overall winner of the week being Hew with a winning score 106
  • Philip 104
  • James D 101
  • Simon 96
  • Matt J 94
  • John, & Jez 93
  • James M 90
  • Alan 87
  • Mark & Matt S 86

Another quality buffet style lunch and after a siesta for some we all found our way for the start off the afternoons experience of the beach bar and the last evening of eating and drinking in hindsight it was probably Johnny’s fault as it is his 60th birthday to day.

I would just like to add a thank you to you all, as in all your different ways you have made it anther successful and very enjoyable tour to have been on and hope that you all have enjoyed your selves.
