So something a bit different on this years tour, something I’ve been trying to organise for a few years.
On Tuesday, we trucked off to Adeje to play against The Adeje International Golf club, a group of guys and girls that I’ve joined and played with a few times this year. Our eight guys took them on, in four, fourball matches.
We were aware that their handicaps come from a much tougher course than ours and, we played off of the back tees, so quite a challenge. Michael Setch is their organiser and he sorted out green fees and buggies for us, a great deal so a big thank you to him and all the Adeje guys.
We went out at the back of their normal Stableford and the guys we played marked a Stableford card too. We all put up a good fight but lost all four matches, two on the eighteenth, one 2 and 1 and Matty and myself lost 3 and 2, we werent at our Sunday best, me in particular but Dave and Chris played well, Chris had a great back nine and we were giving him ten shots so hard work for us. A great match though played in great spirit as the game was intended.
They laid on tapas for us after and paid for the first round of drinks so a top day and once again big thanks to Michael and all the guys. We look forward to a return match at this great golf course.
