First off, Happy New Year.
Fingers crossed the weather sorts itself out in next few weeks. Be nice for a dry spell for the course, but we all know we actually need a cold snap so planned work can go ahead on the course, let alone the greenkeepers can go near the greens and fairways for the regular trims.
A week or two of hard frosts would be ...

Phil’s Birthday Comp
The old boy turned 56 on Tuesday and after hitting 55(+1) he isnt now the rookie for the Vets (or the "Champions Tour" as he calls it). Matt had emailed out that the greens were being hand cut/mown... which for us, and for a big society ...

And if you're called Mark, surname Wheddon, and continue to dismiss Christmas jumper idea and can't be a8sed to get at least to ...

Early December Swindle and the Christmas Ball
Swindles
By and large we got away with the weather over the weekend. Grey, damp and a strong wind on Saturday, a bit damp(er) on Sunday with a smidge of drizzle but less wind. Course isnt bad given the time of year - greens are ok but a couple still recovering from being treated (10th especially). Inherent in mild damp weather, the green will ...
