Posted on behalf of Phil "I do work sometimes honest" Macve
Off we all trucked for a cheeky Autumn mini tour, straight from work Wednesday evening for five rounds in the Costa Del Sol.
First up for the chaps, Graham, Sean, Bob and myself was La Cala, a mountain course which some of you guys have played. I played it over 20 years ago so didn't ...

Surrey National beat Couldson @Home
A cracking weekend of mid Autumn weather - I was in t-shirts for both days - and I make no apologies for the sight of me stripping off the Under Armor... no doubt putting several off their games. Mild temperature and a only smidge of rain on Saturday, not bad... but Sunday was just perfect with clear sky and sun. You would have expected the course ...

London Golf Show 2015 @Glow, Bluewater
I think Sean's 'brush-tied-to-the-trolley' invention might be too late to make the Golf Show this year, but no doubt there will be bundles of other things on test, show and sale.
The London Golf Show runs from Thursday 13th- Sunday 15th November 2015 at Glow at Bluewater just round the M25.
Worth a visit, £15 on the door, tenner in ...

Greenkeepers doing a great job
Posted on behalf of Phil
I thought that it was worth mentioning what good condition the course is in at the moment, and give a pat on the back to the greens staff, particularly as so many people seem to agree and comment this weekend.
The greens are superb for this time of year and a couple of weeks back were as fast as I have played them.
The ...

October Medal, Swindle and KO matches
A grey, fresh Saturday and Swindle numbers were only around 13 or 14 today, with out in the Medal. A few KO matches were played today in amongst the Swindle fourballs...
Swindle KO's

Sean on Dragon’s Den soon(ish)
Sean was late to the Hever match, but found time to send the reason why he was late to Phil. Take one stiff hand brush, with a few plastic ties = some mighty clean(er) golf spikes.
Next stop the patent office? ...

Swashbucklers vs Hangovers @Hever
A "friendly" challenge match was held at Hever Castle Golf Club on Saturday, conceived and managed by Phil for the Swashbucklers and Dom for the 'Hangovers' (aka Dom's Divas... somehow that name wasnt accepted by them). Eight faced eight, in paired better ball in a 'Surrey Hills' points format (matches played to the end out of 18points, 1pt for a ...

Surrey Hills Finals Day 2015 @Surrey Downs
Friday off work... golf... sunny (in October)... and its the League Finals Day hosted this year at Surrey Downs Golf Club. Nice. A truely fantastic day, autumn sun was out and we were all out in t-shirts. Players across the course stripping off their base layers after the first few holes was a sight and a half.
Surrey Downs was immaculate. ...
