A narrow away defeat at Woldingham last weekend (48 vs 42), so well done team for keeping it tight.
Below is the league table, you can see after playing 5 matches (4 away) we are still in very good shape.
We now have 3 remaining matches (all home) where with the right results we can propel ourselves to the top ...

Sutton Green “Friendly” Mixed Match, July 2014
Posted on behalf of Mr Philip Macve
On a hot and humid Sunday, we welcomed the mixed pairs from Sutton Green for the much awaited 'friendly'.
A crowd of us have been playing in their Mixed Open for the last five years, it's a fantastic day with great company, so last year I spoke to Bernie and Louise about organising a friendly mixed match at ...

Weekend Results
Jim took Saturday's Swindle with a very impressive 39 points. Made all the more by apparently having a severe hangover from a curry night on Friday. Sean was also out with them all and seemed to shrug off a sore head coming in 4th with 34. Strongbow perhaps suffered more coming in with 26.
There was one unfortunate incident when a guest ...

Swindle Knockout – Courtesy Shots
Posted on behalf of Lee (Feasey)
Ladies and Gents
In the Swashbuckler knockout, the ladies receive two courtesy shots because of the difference in the SSS's of the red and white tees, 74 and 72 respectively.
Shots all calculated from the men's stroke index.
In mixed matches, ladies should score from the mens index. ...

Dave “McIlroy” Shirley dominates Sunday Medal
Medal weekend
A certain Mr McIroy may well have marched to a thoroughly convincing Open victory today but the real story was not only Swashbucklers taking top 3 slots in Sunday's Medal but a certain Mr D Shirley smashing the competition wide open with a cracking gross 85.
Dave's 85 meant an awesome a nett 62!!! He was 6 shots clear from 2nd place ...

Wayne shoots a 76 at Woldingham
It's a cracking feeling beating 80 for the first time and Wayne has done it in style.
Riding a wave of recent good form, Wayne played an afternoon game at Woldingham and it appears it all came together to a great game.
Parring holes for fun and I see a birdie on the 17th followed by a par on the last. One over on the back is great.
Something ...

Inaugural 2014 Swashbuckler Summer Knock Out Draw
Swashbucklers out in force
At the Saturday afternoon BBQ, the draw was made for the Swashbuckler knockout cup. A grand total of 44 warriors and warrior-ess' have signed up for the knockout comp. A great field!
Splitting the draw into two sections confused some (including me) but we had an initial round1 draw, with the secondary draw made up of ...

Swindle Summer BBQ goes off well
Matt Strong had the idea earlier this year to have a 'Celebration Day' to cover a whole host of events. We've had 30ths, 40ths, 50ths and 60ths. Graham Loveless handed over from his successful year of captaincy to Sean and Stevie Mac moved out of home.
No prisoners!
Not everyone could be around on these individual days so it made sense to have a ...

Jaggsy scoops modest Swindle £ but with his best ever round!
Special post for our 'oooh he's on fire' fellow Swindler Mr Mattie Jaggs.
Hot on the heels of being announced as our overall winner of Swindles to date in 2014 on Saturday evening, our Mr Jaggs turned in a mahoosive 44 points in the Swindle today, a gross 78 for his best ever round.
This despite taking a 7 on the 18th!
This extends his 'most ...
