On a changable day, Surrey National had to face it's hardest away game to decide the Surrey Hills League. Performing consistency well throughout the year, it came down to Farleigh 'away'... a team of low very steady handicappers playing on their own turf. We hadn't played a warm-up and a number of us hadn't played any of the holes. With that in ...

Around Surrey National GC
Strong showing by Surrey National at Sutton Green Mixed Open
An overcast, but very mild Autumn afternoon, saw Surrey National turn out 20 mixed pairs for the Sutton Green Open yesterday. 40-strong, we made up about half or more of the field! The bemused faces of the non-SN lot at the dinner, faced with half the room being from one club was a sight.

Swashbucklers take Captain’s/Pro Challenge

Whilst I was enjoying a mate's birthday 40th weekend away (or rather a "hangover" weekend), the Swashbucklers turned out some cracking performances to dominate the autumn Stableford on Sunday.
4 out of the top 5 were Swashbucklers, with Alan "Rocky" Saville taking the honours with a very impressive 44. That 2.1 handicap cut is a fantastic result! ...
